Simple Future: Will And Be Going To Simple future biasa digunakan untuk menyatakan waktu yang akan datang. Ada dua bentuk dalam menyatakan simple future yaitu: 1.      Menggunakan Will/Shall -          Untuk kalimat verbal menggunakan rumus sbb: (+)       : S + Will/Shall + V1 + O (-)        : S + Will/Shall + Not + V1 + O (?)        : Will/Shall + S + V1 + O -          Untuk kalimat nominal menggunakan rumus sbb: (+)       : S + Will/Shall + Be + Noun, Adjective, Adverb, Pronoun (-)        : S + Will/Shall + Not + Be + Noun, Adjective, Adverb, Pronoun (?)        : Will/Shall + S + Be + Noun, Adjective, Adverb, Pronoun Note: Penggunaan Shall dalam simple future khusus untuk kata ganti I dan We saja. Shall jarang digunakan di American English, namun lebih sering digunakan di British English.        Exp      : Kalimat verbal               (+) Jack will finish his work tomorrow   (-) Jack will not finish his work tomorrow   (?) Will Jack finish his work tomorrow?   Kalimat nominal    (+) I will be at the meeting tonight    (-) I will not be at the meeting tonight    (?) Will I be at the meeting tonight? 2.      Menggunakan Be going to -          Untuk kalimat verbal menggunakan rumus sbb: (+)       : S + Be (am, is, are) + Going to + V1 + O (-)        : S + Be + Not + Going to + V1 + O (?)        : Be + S + Going to + V1 + O -          Untuk kalimat nominal menggunakan rumus sbb: (+)       : S + Be (am, is, are) + Going to + Be + Noun, Adjective, Adverb, Pronoun (-)        : S + Be + Not + Going to + Be + Noun, Adjective, Adverb, Pronoun (?)        : Be + S + Going to + Be + Noun, Adjective, Adverb, Pronoun Exp      : Kalimat verbal               (+) Jack is going to visit his grandmother tomorrow                    (-) Jack is not going to visit his grandmother tomorrow                   (?) Is Jack going to visit his grandmother tomorrow?                   Kalimat nominal                   (+) They are going to be at the party tonight                   (-) They are not going to be at the party tonight                   (?) Are they going to be at the party tonight? Note    : Will + not biasanya disingkat menjadi won’t. Kemudian Going to juga biasanya diucapkan “gonna”. Will dan be going to biasanya mempunyai arti yang sama, tapi kadang-kadang digunakan dalam arti yang berbeda
